Root Micromax Canvas A1

Micromax Canvas A1 is really becoming awesome phone with Google Android One. We have already started development for this phone by guiding you all to Unlock Bootloader of Micromax Canvas A1 or Unlock bootloader of Canvas AQ4501 easily along with relocking Bootloader to gain warranty back. Today we are back with another interesting tutorial to Root Android One Micromax Canvas A1 or rooting Micromax canvas AQ4501 easily by simply updating zip using custom recovery.

Requirements to Root Micromax Canvas A1:

1.You must have Unlocked Bootloader. If you do not have unlocked Bootloader then first read our previous article to Unlock Bootloader of Micromax Canvas A1.
2. You must have custom recovery installed. We have earlier provided Philz touch Cwm recovery for Micromax Canvas A1 after which you can proceed further.
3. Download Update.zip from below and copy that to SD card of your Micromax Canvas A1. One needs to +1or tweet or Like in order to unlock the download link from below as token of thanks.

Tutorial to Root Micromax Canvas A1 :

1. Boot into Philz CWM recovery by first turning off the phone and then pressing power and volume up simultaneously until you get list of items.

 

 

2.Select Recovery Mode by moving pointer using volume up button and making a selection by Volume Down button.
3. Once you are booted to Philz touch Cwm recovery for Micromax canvas a1 then select Install or Update zip from external SD card and select the package named- UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip which you downloaded earlier. And flash that file .

 

 

4. You are done, simply restart the phone with rooting Micromax Canvas A1.

One can thereafter see Superuser app in the apps lists after following above procedure.

 

And hence can check if you are rooted or not by installing Root Check app from playstore. And you will see success message in it. Henceforth install apps which require root access and enjoy.
